Cheeseburger in Paradise

“It’s a dangerous business, QC, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet there’s no knowing where you might be swept…”

I am sorry to be missing Dan and Frances’ Thanksgiving dinner this year, but then, we are in Paris! Life offers compensations.

As I write this I wonder if everyone traveling in Europe plans their daily adventure around food? I believe it is a requirement if you are in Paris. Our hotel offers a very nice continental breakfast, but… there is a world class patisserie only 2 miles from said hotel. I think a quick taxi ride for a world class second breakfast may be warranted today.

Carton Paris is one of the “go too” patisseries for croissants.

Off to Angelinas for elevenses before our tour at the Louvre. Angelina Paris is a legendary 1903 tea room offering pastries, but renowned for their hot chocolate which was very welcome on this chilly day in Paris.

The Louvre

After the Louvre we have a stop at Roger Patrick, which I suppose could be considered afternoon tea, except there is no tea or coffee, just chocolate.

We have no firm plans for dinner, which is typically around 6:00 pm, or 18:00 for us European travelers.

For the sake of we weary travelers we forsake supper at the request of our health, happiness and waist lines.
